PASTOR MIKE FOCHT TEACHES ON “JESUS AND JUDAS” AT THE 2022 WEST COAST PASTORS CONFERENCE.
Mike Focht, assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel Philadelphia, PA, felt the Lord encourage him personally as he prepared his teaching on “Jesus and Judas”.
Acts Chapter 1 shows that Judas was a chosen part of Jesus’ original disciples. He was likely baptized by John the Baptist and joined Jesus’ early ministry. He preached, prayed, and received authority to perform miracles, heal the sick, and cast out demons.

“This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”

“Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence. Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled. Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none. Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients. The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.”

Psalm 51 To the Choirmaster, a Psalm of David, when Nathan the Prophet went to him, after he had gone into Bathsheba
1 Have mercy on my, O Go, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin!
3 For I know my transgressions, and my sis is ever before me.
4 Against you, and you only, have I sinned and done what is exile in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgement.
5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; awas me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice.
9 Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
